Wasl Club wins General Excellence Shield in Aquatic Sports

The Wasl Cultural and Sports Club from the UAE has been awarded the General Excellence Shield for aquatic sports for the sports season, topping the overall standings with 5687 points. The award was presented during the Gulf Swimming Championship in Abu Dhabi.


Wasl Club wins General Excellence Shield in Aquatic Sports

The UAE Aquatic Sports Federation awarded the Wasl Cultural and Sports Club the General Excellence Shield for aquatic sports for the sports season. The club topped the overall standings with 5687 points, ahead of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club (5386 points) and the Abu Dhabi Aquatic Sports Club (3730 points).The award ceremony was held on the sidelines of the conclusion of the Gulf Swimming Championship in Abu Dhabi. The shield was presented by Abdullah Al Wahabi, Chairman of the Operations Committee of the UAE Aquatic Sports Federation, to Nabil Al Falasi, a member of the Individual and Team Sports Company, Swimming Supervisor at the Wasl Club, in the presence of a number of the club's representatives and swimmers who expressed their pride in this achievement. The UAE Aquatic Sports Federation stated in a press statement that this award comes as recognition of the great efforts made by clubs in implementing plans and activities for aquatic sports during the sports season, emphasizing the importance of the cooperation between the Federation and clubs in developing the sport and supporting talent. The Wasl Club is one of the most decorated clubs with the General Excellence Shield in aquatic sports in recent years, thanks to its continuous participation and outstanding swimming results in local championships, which enabled it to achieve overall excellence and top the rankings.
